A Flower Up Close


The stamen is the male organ of a flower, typically consisting of a pollen-containing the anther and filament.  The stamen is the pollen-producing reproductive organ of a flower.

The stamen has two parts:  the anther, and the stalk.  The stalk is often called the filament.  The anther is the part of a stamen that contains the pollen.

It´s absolutely amazing what you can see with the magic eye of a macro lens.  How much is out there that our naked eyes have never seen?
