  1. Hola Omar,
Here is a link to a youtube video of a netflix trailer on Platon. If you can get the netflix “Abstract: The Art of Design”, you must watch his episode. Amazing production.

  2. Hola Jim y Nena:
I’m with you all the way Jim. I saw the complete series of Abstract on Netflix about three days ago. I’m still in awe with what these extraordinary people are able to do. It struck me how great the human mind is; meaning, creating something completely new and futuristic out of the blue.

I even wrote down the names of the game changers to look them up on Wikipedia and learn more about their work. The creators I jotted down were:

    1. Christopher Niemann – Illustration
    2. Timber Hatfield – Footwear Design
    3. Es Devlin – Stage Design
    4. Bjarke Ingels – Architecture
    5. Ralph Gillev – Automotive Design
    6. Paula Scher – Graphic Design
    7. Plato – Photography
    8. Isle Crawford – Interior Design

All of them are beyond description. What they do in stretching the limit of the imagination is beyond description. For example, the work of Tinker Hatfield designing the Michael Jordan sports shoes is absolutely amazing. The same goes for Bjarke Ingles in the field of architecture, and of course our good friend Plato, the photographer from Greece.

I’m resting for a few days before I stream this series again. Videos like these are excellent references to open up your mind if you want to expand your creative skills. I’m in for the long haul in photography, and viewing this kind of material is mandatory.

Thank you, Jim, for bringing up this subject. I feel fortunate in having Netflix in our home. English speaking content with Spanish subtitles. The best of both worlds.
