Panama Beer

Panama Lager Beer is the most popular beer in Panama together with Atlas beer.  Panama is known for being a happy country, full of festivities, beer drinking  and year-round fairs.

A report from the General Comptroller Office (Contraloría General de la República) revealed that 89 million liters of beer were consumed in Panama from January to April in 2014.  This represents a new record, exceeding the previous year consumption of beer by 5.49 percent.

The number is staggering.  Panama is drinking 22.25 million liters of beer per month which represents a daily consumption of around 24,000 liters. No wonder we are considered one of the happiest countries in the world.  Skol!

The beer mug has been with me for a long time.  It was a Christmas present while I worked for a sugar mill in the city of Aguadulce.  It was handcrafted expressly for Anhauser Busch, Inc. in 1991.  It is considered a Collectors Series—“The Season’s Best”.  The idea was to promote the world’s famous Budweiser Clydesdale 8-horse hitch and wagon created by artist Susan Sampson. It was manufactured in Brazil.

It is a beautiful item which I plan to keep as a sentimental souvenir of my life as a Comptroller in Compañía Azucarera La Estrella, S.A. in Aguadulce.

Good Day!

  1. I got to see the Budweiser Clydesdales once. They really are beautiful creatures. I may have mentioned once before that there’s a town in Texas named Agua Dulce, and a second town named Sweetwater. 🙂

  2. No matter what they say, the planet Earth is smaller than we think. It’s just a small sphere spinning in an endless Universe. Here we are, I’m here talking about Agua Dulce, and there you are, answering about a town in Texas with the same name in Spanish and English. Need I say more?

Yep, we are indeed in a beautiful small sphere spinning inside Eternity.

Thank you for you nice comment.
