The Table Is Served

Photograph by ©Omar Upegui R.

Picture shot with a Canon P&S PowerShot A720 IS camera.  Handheld.  No tripod nor reflectors.  Subject was lit with five diminutive candles on the bottom left hand side of the image.  Nothing fancy nor complex.  Make it simple and it will work.

Good Day!

  1. Hola Omar,
was there a flat filter on the lens? The lit face of the cheese is reflected in the unlit part of the cheese on the right side. I got this effect once in low light exposures and it took me forever to figure out what was happening. That was in film days.

The SNOW is back! We are still having sunny warm afternoons here; seems strange to be outside putting up Christmas decorations while wearing a short sleeve shirt. Oh, I love moving the mouse pointer around and changing the angle of the snowfall. Yes, I AM easily amused! haha

  2. No Jim, there was no filter on the camera’s lens. This was a cheap P&S Canon camera (PowerShot A720 IS) with a fixed lens.

The snow is back to WordPress to welcome the Christmas season and I love it. You can feel the holidays floating in the air. I love Christmas Time. Remember vividly when I was a kid on a banana plantation in the middle of nowhere.

We are still having light rains in Panama. Hurricana Otto missed us by a split hair and headed West towards Costa Rica, albeit we had more than our fair share of rainfall.
