Gehry Museum In Panama

The Gehry Museum is one of the main attractions of foreign visitors to Panama.  Its bright colors and extraordinary biological exhibitions are stunning, in search of a better word.

The official name of the museum is “Biomuseo” or “The Biodiversity Museum:  Panama Bridge of Life”.  The building is located on the Amador Causeway in Panama City, Panama.  It was designed by internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry.  This is Gehry’s first design for Latin America.

The design was conceived in 1999 and the museum was opened on October 2014.  During the opening ceremony it was publicly announced that Gehring had donated the design to the people of Panama as a manifestation of love for his wife who was born in Panama.
