  1. That’s a nice cognac, too — a worthy subject for a photo. I stopped drinking cognac some years ago, and prefer a lighter wine now if I’m having anything. But I remember the taste , thanks to your photo. That’s what product photography is supposed to do, I think — bring back (1) the memory, and (2) the urge to duplicate the experience.

    1. This is a bottle of Courvoirsier Cognac which was given to me as a Christmas present in 1986 while working as a Comptroller in a sugar mill in the countryside. Never drank it, since it was too warm for our climate.

My wife decided to experiment using it to roast a turkey for Christmas. The flavor was not bad. Ever since, it has remained in one of our closets until it was undusted yesterday for a photo shoot.

I’m developing a taste for product photography. It’s entertaining and fun at the same time.

  2. Good day, dear Omar! First of all, let me congratulate you with your new site design, it looks fascinating and very creative as well as stylish. I bet there is much from you here. Secondly, your new photos about products are awesome. In case it is a real ad, I think I will buy them. It’s visible that you enjoyed working on them! I am very fond of your recent photo works! Keep on clicking!

    1. Your complimentary words make me a very happy man. Lately I’m having fun taking pictures of products following the process used by professional photographers. Upgrades to our gear have been very helpful in enhancing the quality of our photographs.

My next purchase will be a photography photo portrait studio 600 watts daylight, umbrella continuous lighting kit by LimoStudio LMS 103. It should be in Panama by July 15h. When it is here, it will be another footstep forward in my dream to become a photographer. Meanwhile I’ll work with the modest equipment I have.

I appreciate your encouraging remarks. I promise to keep on clicking. 🙂

    1. Cognac is a warm French drink suitable for cold climates. It is very popular in France. In your case, it would be perfect to drink during your cold winter months. Product ads have turned out to be quite a pleasant experience. Studying it more so I can improve the photographs. 🙂
