  1. Hello Mukul:

Yes, overnight we have become the most well-known country in the planet thanks to the Panama Papers. It was not a surprise to me—greed and the love for money is taking the globe by storm. I don’t think it will ever end.

    Regards,

    Omar.-

  2. Hello Jim and Nena:

We are experiencing the most embarrassing event in the history of this country. France has placed us back on a black list, Mr. Ramón Fonseca, co-owner of the Mossack Fonseca company has been restricted to travel to the United States, the UEFA offices in Switzerland was raided this morning, the Prime Minister of Iceland resigned and we are waiting for the next shoe to fall.

Yep, this has deeply affected Panama as an important player in international commerce, insurance and banking. The hacking of the Fonseca’s servers was huge.Financial records, passports, correspondence and other sensitive information stretching back forty years back was stolen and placed on the Web for everyone to see.

140 offshore accounts linked to Pakistan’s Prime Minister, the President of South Africa, President of Syria, President of China, former Prime Minister of Iceland, and President of Russia have been exposed on the Internet.

In a nutshell, 140 political figures, including 12 current or former heads of states were hiding their cash in ghosts offshore companies.

Yes Jim. The substance has hit the fan.

    Bye,

    Omar.-
