Tropical Themes

This morning I took my wife to a medicine specialist to diagnose her digestive system.  It was a yearly routine checkup.  It was a long exam; more than five hours.  She was anesthetized for this health examination.  Maybe that is why it took so long.

While I waited impatiently in the waiting room—which had a freezing temperature—I saw this beautiful wall brightly decorated with tropical themes.  Fortunately I had my Samsung cellphone with me, and took the mandatory shot.

This is what the camera saw this morning.  BTW, everything came out fine.  My wife was given a clean bill of health.  She’s feeling like a million bucks and so am I.  🙂

As you can see, the tropical themes are:  blue ocean, clear skies, sandy beaches, and some palm trees.  Obviously…no snow.  Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

Good Day!

    1. Hello Ana:

Even though this was not a picture of Panama, in a certain way it pretty much summarizes the country. During Winter Time, thousands of Americans and Canadians fly south to enjoy the warm weather of Panama and in addition, the friendliness of its people.

Enjoy the rest of the day, my dear.

  1. I’m so glad to hear all is well. It can be a ittle unnerving, waiting to see what they have to say. I just took my car in for its checkup, and we got a clean bill of health, too. It’s rained all day, so I didn’t miss any work — but now the sun is out, so I’m going to go see what I can do.

    1. Hi Linda:

It’s nice to have a car in good health, or a healthy horse during the Golden Days of the Wild Wild West. Our Toyota Corolla is purring like a spoiled kitten too.

Regarding rain, we could use that precious liquid down here. The drought continues and so far it’s here to stay till May or June. That’s a lot of time without water. Prayers are abundant in our churches.

  2. Hola Omar,
Excellent news on the results of Aura’s examination. Every year that goes by with no health problems is a blessing. I have been in those waiting rooms, they are on par with the temps on the midnight express bus to David. I don’t think I have ever been colder and that includes a winter that I spent in Wisconsin.

    1. Morning Jim and Nena:

Thank you for your comment about my wife’s health. We are relieved that everything came out normal. At 71 it’s a real priviledge to be healthy. At a much younger age, we firmly believed we were stronger than Superman and that we would live forever.

Omar smiles about the exagerated low temperatures of the hospital’s waiting room and the freezing buses to David. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if it begins to snow in there. Why so cold? No idea!

      Best Regards,
