Good Day!

    1. Morning Ann;

      In the Tropics we have sunny days almost every day; even on rainy days. Now we are now experiencing the early stages of the dry season with plenty of sunshine.

      I shot these pictures strolling through the neighborhood where I live in Panama City. Serendipitously, I found this gorgeous patch of flowers inside a neighbor’s garden.

      There are more pictures of flowers in the works taken with my new marcro lens.

      Take Care,

      Omar.-

  1. I’m so sorry Linda, but I’m not very good with names of flowers. I try to look them up on the Internet but with no positive results.

    My routine is walking around the neighborhood in an effort to find a nice garden with gorgeous flowers. Then I take the shots.

    With my new macro lens, it will be quite an experience taking macro shots of flowers. In photography, there is never a dull moment.

    Enjoy the rest of the day,

    Omar.-

  2. What kind of macro lens did you get, Omar? You can also get what amounts to magnification lenses that screw into your macro lens. This enabled me to lay down on the ground and be an inch or closer to the subject. Nowadays, I am not able to get down or to be outside much if at all.

    1. I recently purchased a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro USM lens. I’m still getting my feet wet with it. Taken only about six pictures with it. Expect to shoot more to see how good it is. So far so good.

      I also have a set of magnification lens that can get screen to the macro lens. These dipotics are manufactured by Vivitar. I’m also thinking of purchasing a set of Kenko Extension Tubes to enhance my new macro lens capabilities. There are so many things you can do in macro photography. As they say, “the sky is the limit”.

      I’m following your path, Abe. Several years down the road, I can not do many things I do now. It’s a fact of life. It is what it is.

      I’m glad you found the blog alright. Now you know where to find me. I write one blog post per day; usually it’s related to photography. It has become my passion, after being a number man for so many years. It’s strange how life twists and turns as time goes by.

      Take Care,

      Omar.-
