    1. Morning Ann:

This is the main entrance of the supermarket where we buy our food. The site is called “El Machetazo”. Black Friday is in full swing in the city, and people are going over their head buying just about everything.

Yes, this is the period when people are waiting for something as you correctly stated.

      Have a beautiful upcoming week.

      Omar.-

  1. Oh, my. I just got home from my Thanksgiving trip last night, and your post is my first glimpse of the seasonal madness that’s surely lurking out there. I completely missed black Friday — I didn’t hear one word about it — and even the Christmas decorations I saw were minimal. I suspect I’d best get with the program.

    1. Mmmm. I thought you were leisurely driving somewhere in the Great State of Texas taking notes and pictures for your next blog post. I see that you are back home safely.

Black Friday was crazy in this town. People really went bananas. Moms waked up their kids, placed them on a baby coach and opened the doors of the shopping malls at 6:00 a.m. Stormed in like a disorderly stampede. It was really crazy. I wonder what triggers that irrational behavior.

Slowly but surely, the city is being decorated with Christmas ornamentions. Yesterday we went to a Do-IT-Center store and it was beautifully decorated. I love this time of year. Brings me back to my early days, when I still believed in reindeers and Santa Claus. You know what I mean. 🙂

We don’t start decorating our home until December 16. Nothing special about the date. I guess it’s just a habit of ours. Not too many things, just a minimum touch to make us feel like Christmas.

Welcome back! I’m sure your boats are waiting for you, and of course, your camara and computer.

      Take Care,

      Omar.-
