I love black and white photographs.  They add mystery and drama to a scene with its deep shadows and bright highlights of white; but it comes to color, flowers just melt my heart.

Above close-up photographs were shot with a Fujifilm X-30 mirrorless camera in macro mode.  As you probably know, this camera introduced the legendary Fuji simulation modes like the new Classic Chrome, Provia, Velvia and Astia.

By allowing you to create brilliant images without the need for lengthy post-production, you can switch between beautiful styles just as easily as choosing a roll of film.  For this session I used the Classic Chrome to take advantage of “a soft color and enhanced shadow contrast for a calm look.”  Good Day!

  1. These are beautiful, Omar~ As you’ve said before, flowers of all sorts will brighten anyone’s day. I really like the white daisy and the reddish flower right below it. 🙂

  2. Morning Barbara,

This year my wife and I have made a commitment to buy at least one bouquet of fresh flowers every month. The house looks different when they are displayed in the living room.

Thank you for your nice comment. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. 🙂

    Omar.-
