Construction Boom in Panama

Panama has had nothing less than a spectacular economic growth during the last two decades—one of the highest in Latin America.  The activity leading the pack is the construction industry.

For example, even as we speak, they are building two impressive college campuses a few blocks from our house—Universidad Interamericana de Panamá (UIP) and the other one still unknown.

Below are a couple of pictures of UIP taken in the perfect light of a crystal-clear Sunday morning.  Here we go.

  1. Hola Omar,
Su barrio es como el nuestro. Vivíamos en el borde de la ciudad y ahora vivimos en el centro, y no nos hemos movido.

The city just moved in around us! haha

    Saludos,
    jim and nena

    1. Hola Jim y Nena:

I know exactly what you mean. The speed of urban development in Panama City is beyond description. Panama City houses about half of the population of the entire country, and growing as we speak.

      Saludos,

      Omar.-
