Take a Pew!

Take a pew! is a popular humorous idiom used in Australia and Great Britain.  It means “sit down”.  Good Day.

  1. I found this idiomatic expression while reading “Our Man in Havana” authored by Graham Greene. Looked it up in Kindle’s dictionary and saved the meaning for another day. The apprpriate day was today.

    BTW, I’m currently reading “The Quiet American” also written by G. Greene about the Vietnam War. Interesting stuff.
