  1. Hey, how about that. I do exactly the same thing. The most I spend on phone calls from my cell is about $5.00 a year. That’s it. Only for emergency purposes.

It’s lovely outside. Going out with my wife to buy her a watch for her birthday. It was yesterday, but had an appointment with my eye doctor (ophthalmologist), so we had to postpone it for today.

    Bye,

    Omar.-

  2. Sages these days are deploring that the ‘smart phones’ and texting are isolating people from one another these days and keeping them from interacting with each other. But,there is a famous photo shot on a New York commuter train in the 50s where practically every man was immersed in their own newspaper and not interacting with the person seated next to them. As the French saying goes, “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose …” (The more things change the more they stay the same)

  3. I have noticed that in big cities people are very lonely. I noticed this isolation during a trip to New York. Almost everyone was an isolated island totally disconnected from the rest, like your example of newspaper readers on a train.

Nothing is new under the sun.

    Bye,

    Omar.-
