Empty Food Cart

Snapshot of a stored food cart waiting for the owner to pick it up. By looking at the letters on the side, I deduct the owner must by a Colombian. Those are the colors of the Colombian flag. Red, yellow and blue. The Colombian community living in Panama is huge and many more are coming down. The Yankee dollar is a powerful magnet. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

  1. Food carts are becoming more popular in Houston. It used to be that they were little more than covered pickup trucks selling tacos. Now, a variety of foods are sold, and their “rigs” can be quite fancy. I’m not sure many are more colorful than this one, though!

  2. People from the Tropics, specially from the Caribbean are very fond of bright colors. I love to see how people from Jamaica, Barbados, St. Kitts, and similar islands dress. Their clothes are full of life similar to the clothing used in Africa.

Remember your days in Sierra Leona or Liberia?
