Bus Stop In The Dark

Snapshot of a dark and lonely bus stop near Residencial El Bosque where we live in Panama City, Panama. The lights that you see behind the seats is reflected light from the glass walls of the structure. I was amazed at how well my P&S Canon PowerShot A720 IS was able to capture the low-light scene without a tripod. Photo by @Omar Upegui R.

  1. While you ponder the complexities of taking such a photo at night, I keep looking at those fabulous bus stops and thinking, “My goodness. You really could stay dry while waiting for the bus in one of those!”

You even could take photos in there if it was raining. They look to be pretty well designed.

  2. They have a very modern design. Minimalistiic architecture style mixing aluminum, plastic and tinted glass. I liked the reflection of the automobiles┬┤lights on the glass. I was surprised I could capture this low light scenes with a P&S camera, hand-held.

The idea of taking shots while raining is an excellent one and the timing is perfect since we are in the middle of the rainy season.
