Sunrise at the Coastal Strip in Panama City

Sunrise at the Costal Strip in Panama City, Panama. This shot was taken at approximately 6:45 a.m. This is modern side of the city with abundant green spaces and parks for recreational purposes. A perfect retreat from the jungle of concrete, steel, and glass. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

  1. There’s so much to see, I almost missed the new construction. They are busy around Panama City, aren’t they? And you must have been on a bridge like the one farther down the road — unless you’ve learned how to levitate!

  2. This is the sight of the Coastal Strip looking West, thus the dark skies in the background and the blue sky in the foreground.

No, I can’t fly like a bird. I took the shot from a pedestrian bridge like the red one you saw in earlier posts.

We are experiencing a construction boon at this time. It is estimated that our economy will grow approximately 7.1 percent this year; one of the highest in Latin America. After the expansion of the Panama Canal is finished sometime in 2016, we will be in a pretty good economic shape.

Yep, I’ll say we are sailing in tranquil waters full speed ahead.
