Maple in the Shadows

The small maple syrup jug on the left is a gift from a dear friend who is visiting us from Maine. We’ve known each other for more than 30 years. She’s heading North at the end of the month. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.
This is an imaginary photograph of an imaginary breakfast with imaginary pancakes and imaginary hot coffee. The strawberry jam, the Aunt Jemina syrup and the maple syrups are real. Lately I’m fooling around with candle lights. It’s lots of  fun. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

  1. Lucky you, to have some real maple syrup! And now I’m putting things together. I think I know who your friend is. How wonderful for all of you to have the time together. Thirty years is a long friendship!

  2. Linda,

This is the real original stuff from Maine, USA. Sweet as it can be. A delicious combination with pancakes in the morning. Yummy-yum-yum.

Yes, thirty years is a long, long time. Met her when she was only 22, studying English at the YMCA.

    Bye,

    Omar.-
