The Former Mansión Danté

Snapshot of the Mansión Danté building on your right hand corner. The construction boom gobbled it up. We lost a magnificent building with an exquisite architecture style. A boring tower took its place. People call this progress. I call it greed. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

  1. I didn’t notice the “related” post at the bottom of the page, so I did a search for information on the Mansión Danté and found – your post! What an interesting building. And yes, it is a shame that such treasures are being lost.

  2. I feel very sad when these regal buildings are bulldozed to the ground and replaced by boring towers which add nothing to the charm of the city. This has been going on for the last two or three decades. Soon we will be suffering from a massive social and historic amnesia.

Before that happens, I’m taking as many pictures as I can of these fading structures which were part of our heritage.
