Solitary Bird

The sight of a solitary seagull flying all by itself on the beach, brought back memories of Jonathan Livingston Seagull’s album, brilliantly performed by American singer-songwriter, Neil Diamond.  His music will be with me forever.  I have a large collection of his popular vinyl 33 rpm records.

Enjoy the music and the framed picture of a tropical paradise in Panama; the place where the sun settles down to rest at the end of the day.  Good Day.

  1. Do you know I’ve never read Jonathan Livingston Seagull, or heard the album? I liked Neil Diamond, but I never listen to him anymore, either.

I went and checked the publication date, and discovered the book came out while I was otherwise occupied with life. So many books, so little time. Love the photo, though!

  2. Morning Linda:

I was introduced to Neil Diamond’s music when I was in college in Costa Rica. After listening to one of his albums, I purchased everything that he had to offer. To this day, he is still one of my favorite artists.

In my opinion, Jonathan Livingston Seagull was his best work. The orchestra supporting his songs was absolutely stunning.

The lonely seagull reminded me of this singular album.
