A Little Red Car

The sign to the right of the open white fence indicates that there was “Sancocho” on the menu for that particular day.  Sancocho is a typical soup with consists of chicken, ñame, otoe, culantro, corn, yucca and onion. After a heavy hangover, the best antidote to put you back in shape is a strong sancocho.  Finger-licking good.  Good Day.

  1. Oh, I thought the car would be the only treat here, but that soup sounds wonderful! I do enjoy little restaurants like that – the food often is better, and the atmosphere is great.

  2. Morning Linda:

Do you have “sancochos” in Texas? Having a close relationship with Mexico, it’s possible that this dish is popular in your neck of the woods.

Glad you enjoyed both the dashing car and the food contained in this blog post.
