Thunderbird Released Version

In an effort to keep up with the latest stability and security improvements included in Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird’s execs released yesterday its version

This latest patch fixed five security vulnerabilities including one labeled as critical by Mozilla, along with more than twenty stability improvements.

It is to be noted that Thunderbird is now also available in Afrikaans and Ukrainian.

Thunderbird users will be prompted to update within 24 to 48 hours. To get it now, in the Help menu, select Check for Updates… and follow the on-screen instructions. This works if you are a current user of Thunderbird; if not, please click here to download the whole e-mail client file.

Due to the security fixes, it is strongly recommend that all Thunderbird users upgrade to this latest release. The Internet is a dangerous place; please play it safe.

If you’re still using Thunderbird 1.5.0.x, this version is no longer supported and contains known security vulnerabilities. Please upgrade to Thunderbird 2 by downloading Thunderbird at indicated link.
