Color, Texture and Shape

As part of my photography training projects, I had the assignment of taking pictures where the viewer could appreciate color, shapes and texture of the selected subject.
Specifically the assignment was:
“Throughout this section of the book, we have concentrated on looking at how controlling the elements of art and design (color, texture, pattern, line, contrast) produces strong photographs.
Make a series of five photographs which feature each of these elements in turn.”
I came up with two photographs which aimed at highlighting color, texture and shape. You be the judge if I passed the test. If not, I’ll keep on trying until I get a passing grade. (Fingers crossed)
This is what I came up with about a week ago. Here we go.

Photograph of several trees and dead trunks which depict interesting colors, shapes and textures pleasing to the eye. (Credit: ©Omar Upegui R.)

In this picture you can discover interesting shapes, colors and textures. Dead trunks are always fascinating. I liked the soft pastel colors and slanted lines of the trunk. (Credit: ©Omar Upegui R.)
There is no doubt that Nature is the artist with the best paints and brushes. Good Day.
