During a rainy overcast day last week and nothing really happening, I decided to become naughty.  For several days I had been entertaining the idea of taking a picture of a tiny wooden elephant that a friend of mine gave us from a trip he made to Sierra Leone in Africa.

That day was perfect to do my stuff and halt the trend of wasting glorious amounts of time.  I explored several of my wife’s magazines to find a photograph of a jungle, or something similar, that I could use as a background for my elephant.  I found one.  I hastily proceeded to cut and paste it into an old folder.  My tropical forest was ready.

The next step was to position the elephant in front of the background picture and shoot the scene.  I used my glass computer table to take the pictures.  This is what came out.  Nothing special to brag about, but fun to share it with you guys.  As you can see, photography can be lots of fun.  Who knows, maybe there’s another Toy Story hidden deep inside of me.

These are the pictures of the tiny wooden elephant of Sierra Leone in a far away land called Africa.  Here we go.

The pictures reminded me of the 1962 movie Hatari featuring  John Wayne, Elsa Martinelli  and the little elephant.  Good Day.
