Snapshot of basic, down-to-earth, navigation lights on a fishing boat engaged in fishing activities in the Bay of Panama in the Pacific Ocean.
I love this – though I can’t quite “read” the lights. I think I’ve picked out port and starboard, and the running light, but the middle two have me stumped. I suspect they have to do with whether the boat’s engaged in fishing. It’s been a while since I could pick out everything from dredges to tankers to shrimp boats at night – but it always was fun (and useful) to test my knowledge!

Haven’t the slightest idea on what these lights mean. To me they are just lights.
Now you know how our fishing boats are like in Panama. Today I posted two more snapshots of our fishing boats preparing to go out to sea.
