Snapshot of a garden in the vicinity of the Coastal Strip in Panama City, Panama. On the background you can see the Panama flag waving on top of Ancon Hill. This flag has been there since the U.S. relinquished its jurisdiction over the Panama Canal Zone as a result of the Torrijos-Carter Treaty of September 7, 1977. Photo by ©Omar Upegui R.

What I love about this photo is the way all of the light poles are bending this way and that, while the flag pole is straight and true. It looks like the white poles are meant to curve in that way, but it certainly adds interest to the photo.
Hello Linda:
What do you know? I was worried that bent light post had ruined the picture. But I can see that you liked it that way. The white street lights have that particular curvature, but the black one was straight as an arrow when I shot the picture. I don’t know what caused the strange curve to the left. Photography never ceases to amaze me.
It’s raining in the city. Dark, gray and slightly cold.
Take Care,
Omar.-
