Yesterday I described how I flew from Panama City to David and later drove to Boquete to a picturesque site known as Hotel de Montaña Finca Lérida in Alto Quiel, Boquete.
After a finger-licking supper, about ten o’clock in the evening I decided to go to bed; it had been a long day. After opening the suitcase and getting all my stuff organized in the room, I noticed a delicate card neatly leaning against two large soft pillows on top of my bed. On one of the corners of the card, slept three chocolates wrapped in bright paper. As I leaned closer, I saw this message that touched my heart. Take a look.

This boutique hotel has many attractions which I will describe in upcoming blog posts, but what I will always remember, is the friendliness and warmth of its employees. I honestly felt loved by these people. I’ve been around, but these people stand heads and shoulders above all hotels I’ve visited in my life. It is indeed a hotel with a human touch. You will feel it immediately when you visit this venue. Good Day.

I have stayed at hotels (not very often, though) that have left chocolate mints on the pillows but the card is a great touch to make a guest feel special.
Good Morning Richard:
Yes, I have also received some kind of goodie from a hotel, but never a card personally signed by the General Manager. It’s a very emotional experience. I appreciate little things like that. I would eagerly go back to Hotel Lérida. Those guys really make you feel like a million bucks.
Enjoy the rest of the day,
Omar.-
What a lovely touch! It’s one reason I enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts – they often will go that “extra mile” to make you feel welcome, and pay attention to your specific needs or interests.
Morning Linda:
All big things are made out of little things. This small detail meant a lot to me when I found it relaxing on top of my bed. Customer Service at its best.
Kind Regards,
Omar.-
