Lovely treatment! And thanks for the impetus to visit Goodreads and take in a few quotations from Cervantes. One I particularly appreciated is, “the truth may be stretched thin, but it never breaks, and it always surfaces above lies, as oil floats on water.”

Your remarkable quotation from Cervantes should be embedded in the brains of all our politicians. You never know when they are saying the truth; if they ever do.
Cervantes is to the Spanish language what Shakespeare is to the English language. I try to read them both in order to stretch the limits of my knowledge of both languages; albeit they are difficult to understand.
