I just got an e-mail from a regular reader of Lingua Franca about a warning on the site artoniworld.com. In order to avoid unnecessary risks of contaminating your computer, below is the message received:
“I was reading Artoni’s post here: http://epiac1216.wordpress.com/2009/04/16/a-handicraft-market-in-panama/#comment-3007
Then, I clicked on his name with the embedded web site and received a warning (see attached screen capture) from Google about artoniworld.com.
In this warning, there is a Google link that explains why this site was blocked (see below)
My concern is that some of your readers might click on the link in his name to visit his artoniworld.com site…and, potentially, could cause them harm (directly or indirectly) if their security settings are not adequate. The poster may or may not be aware of this security concern…may or may not be involved in the activity suggested by Google.
I just wanted you to be aware…”
Please be careful with this potentially dangerous Web site. It’s probably that the author of this site in unaware of this situation. I hope he/she reads this post and adopt the necessary corrective actions. Good Day.
Edit: Thanks to a comment made by Don Ray, this problem has been resolved. When you click the Artoni’s link, the Web site downloads without any problems. I’m glad the bug has been crushed. Thanks Don.

I have been to that website and don’t see anything wrong with it. Is this warning only generated if you are using the Google browser? Personally, I do not see a problem with the site.
Hi Don:
The warning popped up when you clicked on the link of Artoni in the Comments section.
I just clicked on the link again and the problem seems to be solved. The red warning sign is gone.
Maybe Artoni had the problem fixed. Thank you for letting us know of the latest status of this situation.
Best Regards,
Omar.-
Don…the warning popped up while using Firefox. Looks like Google has removed the warning.
I just now visited Artoni’s site…he has some very nice stuff.
Yeah, that malware stuff has a way of taking over. I finally got it removed for the 2nd time. Hopefully it is gone for good, with new security protocols.
Sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused anyone.
Please come back to my online gallery.
Artoni
Hey everyone,
It’s me Artoni.
I decided to release a few of my Mola inspired oil paintings as prints on canvas & paper.
I am presently working on my next graphic novel… episode #5.
Currently I am working on page 21 of 38.
Still have so much to color, but all the pages are inked already.
I’m like a one man art department LOL.
Thanks for visiting my online art portal.
