During this past weekend, my wife Aura had to go to the countryside to visit an ailing brother. That meant I was all alone Saturday and Sunday. Being alone in a three bedroom house is scary, so I had to go out and kill the sensation of fear.
On Sunday, I woke up very early and went to the Amador Causeway which is located right at the entrance of the Panama Canal on the Pacific Side. I would say this place is one-of-a-kind. From this place you can watch ships from all over the world going through the Panama Canal on both directions—Northbound and Southbound.
I haven’t been to the Causeway for more then fifteen years; so obviously, I found the place completely changed. For a brief moment, I thought I was somewhere else. The Marina looked very much like the one in Acapulco, Mexico or Montecarlo, Monaco. Since I’m getting acquainted with my new digital camera, I strapped it to my belt and took some shots. These are some of them:

One of the many modern buildings located at the Amador's Marina. There's a hotel on the first floor, and small shops, cafés, restaurants and even a flea market on the ground floor.

A view of some of the yachts anchored at the Marina. Take a look at the blue one. Isn't that a beauty?

The principal yacht resembles the one used in the James Bond's film, "Thunderball". It looks lean and mean, just like Emilio Largo from SPECTRE.

Photo of the yacht, "Fighting Irish" that would make anybody happy if it would have been placed under their Christmas tree. I know I would.

Photograph of two beautiful yachts flanking a distant view of the Panama City's skyline. The vessel toward your right is "Mr. Bull." It belongs to Ernesto Pérez Balladares, former President of Panama.
As you can see, the view of expensive and eye-catching vessels at the Marina is impressive. If you are the kind of person who loves the sea and live or are just passing through Panama City, I encourage you to drive over to the the Amador Marina, sip a nice hot cup of Boquete’s coffee and enjoy the view, during the daytime or evening. Both panoramas are nothing less than spectacular. Good Day.
[...] is that he has unpacked it and is now taking photos of Panama City. It will be interesting to see Panama City through Omar’s eyes and his new camera [...]
