Opera unveils a new security patch identified as 9.62, (Credit: Opera Software)

Opera doesn’t plan to sit still while the rest of its competitors are busy making their software better.  They recently freed version 9.62 which is really a security patch.

According to Opera’s official website, this is the new stuff:

Opera 9.62 is a recommended security upgrade. Opera 9.62 incorporates the Opera Presto 2.1.1 user agent engine.

Security

  • Fixed an issue where History Search could be used to execute arbitrary code, as discovered by Aviv Raff; see our advisory
  • The links panel no longer allows cross-site scripting; see our advisory
