Joke: Hearing Problems

An old man goes to the doctor for his yearly physical, his wife tagging along. When the doctor enters the examination room, he tells the old man, “I need a urine sample, a stool sample and a sperm sample.”

The old man, being hard of hearing, looks at his wife and yells: “WHAT?”

“What did he say? What’s he want?”

His wife yells back, “He needs your underwear.”

Opera Web Browser Released Version 9.61

Norwegian Web browser released security and stability patch 9.61 into the wild.

In an effort to compete with its closest adversaries Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari, the Opera Development Team recently released security and stability patch identified as 9.61. This latest release is a recommended security upgrade.  It also incorporates the Opera Presto 2.1.1 user agent engine.

According to Opera’s official website, below are the latest additions made to this snappy Web browser:

User Interface

• Fixed an issue with Opera Link which could generate duplicate bookmarks during the synchronization process.
• The image toggle button on the status bar is now a normal button, and does not have a menu.

Security

• Fixed an issue where History Search could be used to reveal browsing history, as reported by Roberto Suggi Liverani of Security-Assessment.com; see our advisory.
• Fast Forward can no longer allow cross-site scripting, as reported by David Bloom; see our advisory.
• Prevented news feed preview from revealing the contents of unrelated news feeds, as reported by David Bloom; see our advisory.

Windows-specific changes

• Added the following command line options on Windows:
  • newwindow — Opens a URL in a new window.
  • fullscreen — Start in full screen mode; only works if no Opera instances are already running.

Even though I’ve bent myself backward to understand how this browser works, I just haven’t been able to decipher its codes.  I finally gave up and never used it again.  However, I know many people who would kill for this light and snappy application.
